Little Steps Pre-School Dance
Creative Movement Dance Classes for Ages 3-4
Our Little Steps pre-school dance program is designed for small children and toddlers to explore different types of dance and develop both large and fine motor skills. With a focus on basic dance techniques, these classes provide your child with an energetic introduction to a variety of dance styles including Ballet, Acrobatics, Jazz, Hip Hop and Creative Movement. Classes also include instruction on musicality, team-building skills, co-operation and dexterity.
By being introduced to a variety of dance disciplines early, these tiny pre-school and kindergarten dancers can make a more informed decision as they enter into focused dance classes in the future. The Little Steps pre-school dance program gives these little ones the opportunity to try out the styles mentioned above and choose which they would like to pursue once they reach the age of 5.
Each Little Steps session runs for 9 weeks and includes an Open House, where parents are invited to view the final class of the session in order to see the progression of their child. Photos and Videos are permitted. New sessions begin in September, November, February and April. Participants in our April session will experience a Professional Performance in KADC’s year-end recital. Parents are invited to watch the Recital at The Canadian Museum of History in Gatineau, QC.
